Man having ear examined

Here’s everything you need to know to be prepared for your visit to urgent care and what to expect when you arrive.

How Urgent Care Works

Urgent care centers treat non-emergency illnesses and injuries you want to be seen for the same day or soon after. When you can’t get a same-day appointment with your primary doctor, you can visit an urgent care center for many services that aren’t life-threatening. See a list of services we treat

You don't need an appointment to visit urgent care. You can walk in to an urgent care location near you during open hours.

You also have the option to reserve a spot in line at any of our urgent care centers with our online check-in system. It's not an appointment, but a way for you to save time by telling us when you plan to arrive. We'll do our best to see you at that time. Learn how online check-in works

You can also make a telehealth appointment if you want to see one of our providers from the comfort of your home.

What to Bring to Urgent Care

Here are a few things you'll need to bring when you come in for your visit:

  • A valid form of identification
  • Your insurance card (not required if you do not have one)
  • Method of payment (debit or all major credit cards
  • Patient registration forms (can be filled out upon arrival) - you don't have to bring these with you, but you can fill them out before your visit to save time when you arrive (in English) (in Spanish)

When you arrive at our urgent care center, check in with us so we can collect the necessary paperwork and information.

How to Pay for Your Visit

Co-pays and other fees are due at the time of service. We do not accept cash but do accept all forms of debit cards, credit cards and personal checks (see our payment policy and details).

UM Urgent Care accepts a wide range of insurance plans. Check to see if your insurance is accepted, or call us to verify.

For patients who do not have health insurance, we offer affordable self-pay rates. Check here for our current pricing.
