ChoiceOne Urgent Care Partners with Gwinnett Medical Center

Lawrenceville, Ga. (March 7, 2016)–Gwinnett Medical Center (GMC) and ChoiceOne Urgent Care today announced that the two entities entered into an agreement to jointly operate a network of urgent care centers in Gwinnett County. The initial two centers in Hamilton Mill and Sugar Hill will open in early spring. The two organizations will work to develop additional sites within the community.

At ChoiceOne Urgent Care, patients (including pediatrics) can receive:

This center adds to the wealth of services GMC already offers in the area at the GMC Hamilton Mill campus–including the GMC Specialty Center, which provides primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics, women’s health and a full suite of medical imaging services.

“Patients want access to convenient and quick medical care,” said Phil Wolfe, president and CEO of GMC. “With ChoiceOne being open in the evening and on the weekend, patients can receive high-quality care on their schedule. ChoiceOne focuses on getting the patient seen and back home or to work quickly. Furthermore, urgent care costs are notably less than the ED.”

“Our mission at Choice One is to exceed patient expectations by providing the most convenient and high quality urgent care experience,” added Dr. Nicholas Bower, medical director for ChoiceOne Urgent Care in Gwinnett County. “We believe in continuity of medical care and are committed to working directly with our patients’ primary and specialty care providers to achieve the very best outcome. For patients who do not have one, we can make an appointment with a local primary care or specialty physician before the patient leaves our center. Following their visit with us, each patient will also receive a courtesy follow up call to ensure they are doing well and answer any of their questions.”
